From the grove to the gantry crane.

Sourcing and shipping are the same job. A lot bought well and shipped badly still arrives as a problem, so we run both ends of the chain ourselves.

Sourcing

A supply network you can name

We buy through three channels, in this order of preference: directly from grower clusters and farmer producer organisations; from small and mid-sized processing mills we have worked with over multiple seasons; and, for lines outside our own belt, from vetted partner exporters whose facilities we have audited ourselves.

What we do not do is buy anonymously off an open market and re-label it. It is cheaper, it is faster, and it is the single most common reason importers end up with an inconsistent second container.

Seasonality drives everything. Pepper and cardamom arrive from December through March; coffee from November to February; coconut runs year-round with a monsoon dip in yield and a moisture penalty from June to September. Frozen vegetables follow their own planting calendars, which is precisely why freezing them is useful — it lets us hold a summer crop against a winter contract. We plan annual programmes around those windows rather than pretending every product is available every month at the same price.

Shipping

Modes and ports

We book with the line, not through a chain of intermediaries, which keeps rates honest and rolls visible.

Full container load

20’ and 40’ standard, high-cube and open-top. Desiccant, liner bags and dunnage specified according to the commodity’s moisture sensitivity and the length of the voyage.

LCL consolidation

Pallet and part-load quantities consolidated for trial orders, sample programmes and slow-moving SKUs. You should not have to buy a container to test a supplier.

Reefer & cold chain

Pre-cooled reefer equipment at −18 °C or below for all frozen lines, with a calibrated temperature logger inside every container and plug-in continuity evidenced through transhipment.

Flexitank & ISO tank

Bulk liquid movement for coconut oil and specialty oils, with food-grade single-use flexitanks or dedicated ISO tanks where the buyer’s process requires it.

Air freight

Sample consignments, urgent replenishment and high-value botanical extracts moved through Mangaluru and Bengaluru airports.

Door delivery

DAP and DDP arrangements through nominated destination agents, including customs clearance and inland haulage where you would rather not handle it.
